Acquiring the XML URL

When you select the Finesse Core URL checkbox during layout creation, the XML file URL is automatically generated and displayed in the View XML field. This URL is essential for configuring the Workspace layout in Cisco Finesse.

To retrieve the XML URL:

1. Click and open the layout that you created.

2. On the right side of the page, click Settings.

   The Layout Settings page is displayed.

3. Locate the View XML field and copy the displayed URL.

4. Save the copied URL in a text file for further use.

   Note:

   The generated XML file contains settings for Workspace and configurations for Finesse paths, including the Finesse SDK and Handler files.

The following screen is a sample of the generated XML file.

Important:

• When a new Acqueon Workspace Layout is created, a new XML file is configured, or an XML file is modified in Finesse, a restart of the Finesse Tomcat Service is required.

• When an existing Acqueon Workspace Layout is modified, a restart of the Finesse Tomcat Service is not required.
