    Article summary

    Overview

Data Cloud connects to Amazon EventBridge to publish event data to multiple third-party systems simultaneously. This Connection allows external systems to receive and act on Data Cloud events, eliminating the need for separate integrations for each target system.

    How it Works

Data Cloud publishes profile update events to an Amazon EventBridge event bus. EventBridge uses rules to send events to the appropriate target systems. The connection and Destination in EventBridge work together to enable event delivery.

    Note:

Connection provides the authentication information required to connect to the target system whereas destination provides the target system address.

The following block diagram depicts the workflow between Data Cloud, Amazon EventBridge, and target systems.

The following section includes steps to create an Amazon EventBridge connection.
