Event Bridge Configuration

Amazon EventBridge is an event bus service that connects Genesys PureCloud as a Source and sends real-time data to Campaign Manager Application. EventBridge captures events sent from Genesys PureCloud Platform and provides meaningful data through the subscriptions that you set up. These events appear on AWS in JSON format and transferred to Campaign Manager Genesys PureCloud Adaptor.

Install Amazon Event Bridge

Perform the following steps to install the Amazon EventBridge to add an app to the organization’s Admin > Integrations page.

1. Login to Genesys PureCloud Platform.

2. Click Admin and go to Integrations.

3. Click Add Integration to view the Cards describing available apps. If necessary, use the search box to find the app.

   

4. On the Amazon EventBridge Source, click Install.

   

5. When installation is completed, click Configure tab to connect the partner event source to an event bus.

   

6. Enter 12-digit AWS account ID and the Region where the partner event source must be created. For your region, use hyphenated forms such as us-east-1 or us-west-2.

   

7. Provide a unique Event Source Suffix to append to the Event Source in the AWS account. The suffix can be up to a maximum of 64 characters consisting of lower and uppercase letters, numbers, or the characters such as period, dash, or underscore. The suffix gets appended to the partner event source name and helps distinguish it from other Amazon EventBridge integrations.

8. In the Topic Filtering, select the following topics. It is a list of notification topics that the partner event source must receive.

   1. v2.detail.events.conversation.{id}.ACD.end

   2. v2.detail.events.conversation.{id}.attributes

   3. v2.detail.events.conversation.{id}.customer.end

   4. v2.detail.events.conversation.{id}.user.end

      

9. Click Save.

10. Go to the Details tab.

11. Click toggle so that the integration is Active.

12. Click Yes. In approximately five minutes, or after an application reload, a partner event source is automatically created in AWS account. Genesys PureCloud begins to send events immediately upon successful activation.

Note:

You can configure up to 10 Amazon EventBridge integration instances for an organization.
