Global Business Parameters
- DarkLight
A Business Field is a specific data Attribute used within campaigns to capture and organize information relevant to the business. These fields can be unique identifiers or common metrics that help in tracking, reporting, and analyzing data across different campaigns.
Unique Fields: These fields are used to create business-specific identifiers such as Customer ID, Account ID, and other unique identifiers that are essential for distinguishing individual records.
Common Fields: These fields are used to create standard business metrics such as amounts, number of days, and other common measurements that are useful for various reports and analyses.
You can create unique and common fields for global use across campaigns or for specific use in the Compliance Conditions Builder (CCB).
A Campaign allows a total of 30 business fields, which includes 25 standard business fields at the campaign level and an additional 5 unique and common fields.
Example:
For instance, Customer ID can be used as a business field across multiple campaigns where grouping data is necessary for reports. Customer ID might be the first business field in Campaign A, the sixth in Campaign B, and the tenth in Campaign C. By designating this field as a Unique Identifier, it becomes possible to Group and analyze data from these fields cohesively.
Create Business Parameters
To create a business parameter:
Activate the Unique Identifier 1 and click OK on the confirmation pop-up window.
Note:
When you save and enable Unique Identifier 1, all Unique IDs configured for various campaigns are overwritten with this value. You must enable the fields sequentially, meaning you cannot enable Unique Identifier 2 before Unique Identifier 1. This rule also applies to Common Fields.
Enter a value for Unique Identifier 1.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for Unique Identifier 2 and Unique Identifier 3.
Activate the Common Field 1 and enter the field name.
Select the Data Type from the following options: String, Number, or Float.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for Common Field 2.
Click Save.
Note:
When you activate and save the Global Business Parameters, you cannot make any changes or delete any of these parameters. This action is irreversible.
