Local User

You can create a local user in Acqueon Workspace. The user credentials are stored in the application database or in the cache. During user login, the application validates the user credentials against the information stored in the database (in an encrypted format).

Create a Local User

Follow the steps listed below to create a local user:

1. Navigate to the User page.

   

2. Click + Add New.

3. Complete all the user details fields.

   Field	Description
   User Type	Select Local from the dropdown list.
   User Name	Enter a user name for this user.
   Password	Enter a password for this user.
   Display Name	Enter the display name for this user. This application displays this name when the user logs in.
   Role	Select an appropriate role for this user from the dropdown list - Admin, System Admin, or User.

Note

Passwords must be at least 5 characters in length. We also recommend that the password must contain at least one numeric character and one special character. For example, user@7.

4. Click Submit.

Edit a Local User

Follow the steps listed to edit a local user.

1. Select any user and click the Edit button.

2. Update the required fields.

3. Click Update to complete editing.

Note

You cannot edit the User Name field.

Delete a Local User

1. On the user page, select a user that you want to delete.

2. Click the Delete button.

3. Click Yes to delete the user and dismiss the confirmation dialog.

Note

Only a System Admin user can delete an Admin user.
