    Article summary

    Modes refer to the method or communication Channel used to interact with a customer. Supported channels include voice, email, text message (SMS), and more. Examples of modes are Home Phone, Work Phone, Mobile (Voice), SMS, Email, SIP, or Social Media (WhatsApp, and so on).

    You can communicate with customers via any of the channels:

    • Voice: Dialing campaigns that include advanced dialing capabilities.

    • SMS: One-way SMS text message campaigns.

    • Email: Personalized and dynamic email messaging campaigns.

    • Custom: Use custom Mode to send messages to your customers through any service that has an API including third-party services.

    Add Voice Mode

    A voice mode is created to reach a contact on either a fixed line, like home, office, or other, or a mobile device, such as home, office, or other locations.

    To add Voice Mode:

    1. Click Add Voice Mode.

    2. Enter a Mode Name and a Description of the mode.

    3. Select a Minimum Length and a Maximum Length from the dropdown list.

    4. Click Save.

    Add SMS Mode

    The SMS mode activates the exchange of text messages, typically limited to 160 characters, between mobile devices for various purposes such as notifications, reminders, and customer communication.

    To add SMS Mode:

    1. Click Add SMS Mode.

    2. Enter a Mode Name and a Description for the mode.

    3. Select a Minimum Length and a Maximum Length from the dropdown list.

    4. Click Save.

    Add Email Mode

    To add Email Mode:

    1. Click Add Email Mode.

    2. Enter a Mode Name and a Description for the mode.

    3. Select a Minimum Length and a Maximum Length from the dropdown.

    4. Click Save.

    Customize a Mode

    To customize a Mode:

    1. Click Add Custom Mode.

    2. Enter a Mode Name and a Description for the mode.

    3. Select the appropriate Channel Type.

    4. If the contacts are numeric, enable the Numeric switch to ON.

    5. Select a Minimum Length and a Maximum Length from the dropdown list.

    6. Click Save.

    Update or Delete a Mode

    To update or delete a Mode:

    1. Select a mode and click Edit icon.

    2. Update the details and click Save.

    3. Select a mode and click Delete icon.

    4. Click Ok on the confirmation pop up.
