    Article summary

    This setup is where you configure when an object should be created based on Channel Object, Call Type, and Event. You can also decide what Salesforce Objects, along with fields, need to be added based on requirements. You can also add multiple values for the same field.

    Follow these steps to add a new channel object scenario:

    1. Click + Add channel objects Scenario button.

    2. Select the following fields in the When should object to be created section:

      1. Channel Object - Select a Channel Object from the dropdown list.

      2. Channel Call Type - Select a Channel Call Type from the dropdown list.

      3. Channel Event - Select a Channel Event from the dropdown list.

        Note:

        The values that are displayed in the dropdown list for all the fields are configured in the Configure Channel Section of the Acqueon Workspace Admin application.

    To delete any channel object, click the corresponding Delete icon.

    Follow these steps to decide what Salesforce objects are to be added:

    1. Click + Add SF objects to be created button.

    2. Expand the newly created Salesforce object to make the following changes:

      1. Select the following fields in the What SF Objects to be created section:

        1. Salesforce Object - Select an object from this dropdown list that displays all the objects that were defined in the Objects page of the SF Configuration section.

        2. Object Label Type - Select the type of label for the selected Salesforce object from the dropdown list.

        3. Display Value Field – You can enter or select a task name from the dropdown list for the created Salesforce object. This field is dynamic based on the Object label Type field value selection.

          1. If you select the object label as the Object Field value, all the field values will be displayed in the Display Value Field dropdown list.

            Note:

            The fields that are added in the Salesforce Configuration section are displayed in the dropdown list.

          2. If you select the object label as Static Value, you can enter a task name for the Salesforce object.

    3. You can add multiple objects based on requirements.

    To delete any Salesforce object, click the corresponding Delete icon.

    When you want to update fields along with the Salesforce object, follow the steps below:

    1. Click + Add fields to be updated button and complete the following information:

      1. Choose Fields to be updated – Select the field from this dropdown list that displays all the fields that are associated with the selected Salesforce object.

      2. Source Object Type – Select what type of object needs to be assigned for the field from the dropdown list.

        1. If you select Channel Object, you need to enter the Channel Object, Group, and Variable for the field.

        2. If you select Static Value, you need to provide a label or task name for the field.

        3. If you select User Variable, you need to provide a user variable from the dropdown list.

      3. Channel Object - Select a Channel Object from the dropdown list.

      4. Channel Group - Select a Channel Group from the dropdown list containing channel types.

      5. Channel Variable - Select a Channel Group from the dropdown list containing channel variables. The values displayed in the dropdown list vary based on the selection of the Channel Group.

    2. You can add multiple fields based on requirements.

    To delete any field, click the corresponding Delete icon.

    When you want to update multiple values to a field, follow the steps below:

    1. Click + Add SF Field Object button.

    2. Select the field details as we did for the Update fields section to create a new value for the same field. For example, you have initially added the call type to the field using + Add fields to be updated button. You can use the + Add SF Field Object button to add a new value, like contact nature, to the same field.

    3. You can add multiple values based on requirements.

      Note:

      Multiple values that are added for the same field can be concatenated together and updated.

    To delete any Salesforce field object, click the corresponding Delete icon.

    Click SAVE & NEXT to navigate to the Call Log page. You can also click SUBMIT & CLOSE to save the changes and close the page.

    To navigate the previous process page, click PREVIOUS.
