Personal Identity Information (PII) protection allows organizations to safeguard customer-specific information. This ensures that sensitive details such as names, addresses, emails, telephone numbers, and similar data are kept confidential and secure from unauthorized access.
Examples of Customer-Specific Information that can be Hidden:
Names: Conceals customer names to protect their identity.
Addresses: Ensures residential or business addresses are not exposed.
Emails: Protects email addresses from being visible.
Telephone Numbers: Keeps phone numbers confidential
Fields whose values can be hidden:
Unique Identifier: Lists all the unique identifiers that can be protected, such as social security numbers, account numbers, etc.
Business Field: Includes global business parameters that might contain sensitive business-related information.
Modes: Lists all defined modes of operation or data handling modes that require protection.
Unique Identifier
Perform the following steps:
Go to Unique Identifier.
Select the appropriate fields and enable Mask View to hide the field value. If you enable Mask View, Mask Export is automatically enabled. Mask Export hides the value when you export a report.
If Mask View is not enabled, you cannot enable Mask Export.
Business Fields
Perform the following steps:
Go to Business Fields to view Global Business Parameters.
Select the appropriate fields and activate Mask View to hide the field value. If you activate Mask View, Mask Export is automatically activated. Mask Export hides the value when you export a report.
If Mask View is not activated, you cannot activate Mask Export.
Modes
Perform the following steps:
Go to Modes to view the available modes.
Select the appropriate fields and activate Mask View to hide the Mode value. If you activate Mask View, Mask Export is automatically activated. Mask Export hides the value when you export a report.
If Mask View is not activated, you cannot activate Mask Export.
